Yaletown Celebrates Canada Day with a Street Party and You’re Invited!

On Canada Day, Thursday July 1st, the 1200 block of Hamilton Street will be closed to traffic during Yaletown Grand Prix Celebrations to host a full-on Street Party.
Hamilton Street Businesses invite you to join us in bringing fun, food and music to the streets and be a part of the festivities. Hosted outside SOCIETY Dining Lounge, The Yaletown Street Party will be packed with entertainment and events including live music from noon to 9pm, fun contests, and food provided by the best restaurants Yaletown has to offer.
Here are only some of the amazing events you can expect to enjoy this Canada Day:
- 10 musical acts performing between Noon and 9 PM including: Kemal Evans, Sam Mackay, Keys To Phoenix, Cindy Lou Potter and Case Closed
- Yaletown’s Best Burger Contest to judged by well known bloggers Richard Wolak - vancouverfoodtser.com , John Chow – johnchow.com, Erin Ireland – itstodie4.com, Raul Pacheco-Vega – hummingbird604.com and Cassandra Anderton – goodlifevancouver.com. SOCIETY Dining Lounge, Earls Yaletown, BBQues, The Hamilton Street Grill, Section 3, The Hub Restaurant and Lounge and glowbal grill will be entering their craziest and tastiest in to this contest. All burgers enteries will be judged on taste, presentation and originality.
- Society’s Marshmallow Golf Challenge – a chance to win Gift Certificates from SOCIETY and her sister restaurants as well as other offers from the neighborhood.
Help celebrate Canada’s Birthday with The Yaletown Street Party. We have something for everybody. The festivities start at noon and run until 9pm.
