Yaletown Canada Day Street Party & Burger Contest A Big Success
The First Annual Yaletown Street Party and Burger Contest went off without a hitch. With bands like Case Closed, street jugglers, The Yaletown Grand Prix and a host of bloggers, how could it be anything but a success?
The amazing line up of bands along with our resident DJ Edwin kept the crowds entertained outside SOCIETY Dining Lounge until the Burger Contest started at 4pm. glowbal grill, The Yaletown Earls, The Hub Restaurant, Section 3, BBQues, The Hamilton Street Grill and SOCIETY Dining Lounge all entered. The burgers were all so amazing that the judges (Richard Wolak, Erin Ireland, John Chow, Raul Pacheco and Cassandra Anderton) found it difficult to decide on a winner. After much deliberation our judges wouldn’t pronounce a ‘best burger’, but rather their favourite…. The Hamilton Street Grill Burger. Hats off to our judges, who took time out of their busy schedules to help us make this event a success.
Cindy Loo and the Band took the stage next and sang the crowd into the evening. It was truly an entertaining day.
Remember this was the 1st annual Yaletown Canada Day Street Party and Burger Contest. Join us next year as we plan for more bands, more restaurant’s with more burgers and even more celebrity judges.
