Where did you grow up?
Burnaby, BC
What inspired you or how did you start in the hospitality business?
Both of my grandmothers were always cooking great homey meals, and coming from an Italian and Chinese background, food is everything! This lead me from learning family recipes to working in kitchens at the young age of 12.
What’s your favorite part of the restaurant business?
Watching people eat the food that we have created, with looks of enjoyment on their faces.
Do you have a favorite GRG location? Why?
Trattoria, because I enjoy cooking Italian food and the environment there is energetic and always on the go!
Other than the restaurant business, what jobs or careers have you held?
High School Basketball Coach, 5 years
Dealer, Great Canadian Casinos
If you weren’t in this business, what would you be doing?
Carpentry
If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?
Sienna, Italy
What band(s) are played most on your ipod right now?
Notorious B.I.G, Coldplay, The Arkells, The Killers, Tupac, anything except for Country!
If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be?
My Nonna. I enjoy her food more than any other food I’ve eaten in the world.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you “grew up”?
A professional athlete.
