A Message from Emad & Shannon | Welcoming BLACK+BLUE to the Glowbal Collection

The day has finally come and we couldn’t be more excited. Opening for business on Saturday, October 29th, the seventh member of our Glowbal Collection family, BLACK+BLUE, will be making her debut on Alberni Street.
It has been a long project and what once felt like an insurmountable amount of work, is finally complete and we cannot wait for you to join us in our new space.
BLACK+BLUE will be serving the largest selection of prime cuts available – from Wagyu to US and Canadian Prime. Tableside Caesar Salads, twists on classic cocktails and a variety of exclusive boutique products add to what makes this addition to the Glowbal Collection so unique.
We brought on BOX Interior Design once again to design the impressive 240-seat, three-level space. Gold accents and rich bronze tones highlight the classic steakhouse finishes of velvet and leather. We included different elements into BLACK+BLUE that haven’t been seen before in our other restaurants. The Himalayan Rock Salt Wall for example—that serves as the back drop for our 12 ft.X12 ft. glass encased meat locker; or the custom built Tom Dixon light feature suspended high above the centrally located bar, visible from wherever you are in the restaurant.
The video below gives you a glimpse at the step by step process of getting BLACK+BLUE ready. The ground has been broken, the cement poured, the chandeliers installed, the brass polished, and we are now ready to invite you in.
