Meet the Glowbalites | Neil Robinson
May 8, 2012
We are excited to introduce you to Italian Kitchen’s new General Manager, Neil Robinson!
“This company is cutting edge. We are willing to try anything if we think it will make for a better experience for our guest. The restaurants are busy; there is an energy involved in that which is easy to feed off. I’m also a huge fan of the team that I have inherited here at Italian Kitchen. They are a group of people that care about each other, and are true hospitality professionals.” Welcome Neil!
Where are you from? Tottenham, Ontario
What are your favorite things to do when you are not working?
I really do like to go out to other restaurants and try new food. I have been known to watch a lot of football on Sundays as well as during the NFL season.
What’s your dream job?
Professional Athlete or Rock Star would be pretty awesome, I reckon. I don’t think I’m talented enough for those though.
Favorite place in the world you have visited?
Napa / Sonoma
Something we don’t know about you?
I was awarded with athlete and student of the year when I graduated – too bad I peaked in Grade 8.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you at work?
For a month, I was banned from being a guest at a bar that I managed while attending university.
Cocktail of choice?
Pint of beer usually does the trick, although I had a pretty good run with White Russians after The Big Lebowski came out.
If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I had the Lobster Club Sandwich at Canoe (a restaurant in Toronto). I would eat that any day of the week.
If you won a million dollars what is the first thing you would do with it?
Take a year off and visit as many different major sporting events and venues as I could. (He’s a Leafs fan people!)
